What programs are provided by the Babbage Net School?

The Babbage Net School offers several programs for students, teachers and school districts:

• Live, interactive classes - These courses are analogous to a traditional brick and mortar class. They are taught by certified teachers in a highly interactive virtual classroom.
• Supplemental Educational Services - The Babbage Net School, an approved provider of Supplemental Educational Services for New York State and New York City, is offering a supervised, online tutoring program. This unique program combines the best aspects of anytime, anywhere learning with the support of a live teacher in a fully interactive virtual classroom. The self paced Instructional Program will be available to the student at all times, day or night, and from any location with an Internet enabled computer. A certified teacher will monitor student progress, communicate with parents, generate reports for the schools and provide extra help in a live, highly interactive virtual classroom when needed. The student begins with an assessment test that is correlated to the New York State Standards and the educational goals set by the parents and the school. An individualized learning plan is created. The student works through the learning plan, taking assessments at the end of each learning unit until they meet their educational goals. This individualized, self-paced Instructional Program allows the student to progress as fast as their ability will allow or as slow as necessary to achieve success. • GED - The self paced Instructional Program will be available to the student at all times, day or night, and from any location with an Internet enabled computer. • Home Instruction - Students are provided with two hours of live, interactive instruction a week in each subject by a certified teacher when they can not attend regular classes due to illness or injury.
