Program Description

The eSchool program provides the student with an academically sound, accredited, self-directed program of study that blends the best of traditional correspondence-based distance education with the exciting and growing possibilities made available by the Internet. The courses can begin at any time and the student can work on the lessons at any time. The student will have a year to complete the courses and can complete them as quickly as each lesson can be mastered. Features of this program include:

• The courses contain numerous links to outstanding course-related Web sites.
• Email help from the teacher.
• Students have access to an online library, tutorials. Students can use the online conferencing system to post messages, chat with your instructors, or meet with classmates.
• The courses contain interactive exercises and quizzes that allow you to practice what you have learned before taking graded lesson exams.
• Students take their exam online and then receive evaluation results online. No more waiting for the mail to pick up and deliver! Objective questions are scored immediately with feedback displayed in your own private Homeroom. Your instructor sees these results and evaluates subjective questions, posting the results along with comments in your Home Room within 72 hours of submission.
• Unlike other computer-based school programs that send all instructional materials over the Internet (or by CD-ROM), students receive the same high-quality textbooks used in school programs. Using an actual textbook allows you to take your work with you.
• The classes are accredited by the Accrediting Commission of the Distance Education and Training Council, Commission on Schools and Colleges of the Northwest Association of Schools and Colleges and Universities, and the National Collegiate Athletic Association.
